3 lbs cooking apples
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ cup melted butter
⅛ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons chopped mixed nuts
½ teaspoon cinnamon
10 slices bread, cubed
¾ cup brown sugar
Preparation:
Peel and core the cooking apples, then cut them into pieces.
Put them in the crockpot.
Toss the other ingredients together and put this mixture over the top of the apples.
