Crockpot Pork Chops in a Rich Onion Sauce

This wonderful crock pot pork chops recipe is so simple to make and you only need a few ingredients to make it, including potatoes, carrots and soup, as well as the pork chops themselves. Crockpot cooking tends to produce wonderfully moist pork chops. They do not dry out because of the slow cooking method and the sauce in this recipe is especially good too. There are different slow cooker recipes for pork chops and this is one of the simplest ones to try if you like easy crockpot recipes.

There are plenty of handy crockpot articles if you want meat cooking tips but, to be honest, most crockpot meal recipes are easy enough for anybody to make, since it is just a question of adding the ingredients and cooking the mixture for the right amount of time. The addition of potatoes and carrots makes this an easy one-pot meal and you can also vary the seasonings. Sage or rosemary is nice sprinkled over the finished dish and a little red pepper adds even more color.

Pork chops come out really tender in the slow cooker and if you are looking for recipes for pork chops, and especially ways to make moist pork chops, this one should tantalize your taste buds. Pork chops are inexpensive and, when you cook them the right way, they have a moist, succulent texture. Add some peeled, chopped apple to the crockpot if you want, for a sweeter end flavor. A dash of apple cider would work too.

Slow Cooker Saucy Pork Chops

Ingredients -

6 boneless pork chops
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
12 oz evaporated milk
1 cup sour cream
2 carrots, peeled and sliced lengthways into 6 strips
1 potato, peeled and chopped
2 cans cream of onion soup (about 22 oz total)
Salt, black pepper and garlic powder, as needed
Ground red pepper (optional)

Preparation:

Season the meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder and brown it in the oil.

Drain off the fat and put the pork in a crockpot pot with the potato and carrots.

Whisk the milk and soup together until smooth, and then pour this over the pork.

Cover the crockpot and cook for about 3 and a half hours on high or 7 hours on high.

Stir the cream into the mixture half an hour before the end of the cooking time.

Serve with the sage or rosemary sprinkled over the top, as well as some red pepper if you like.
