Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese Recipe

Mac and cheese is one of those classic dishes, which is a real comfort food. This mac and cheese recipe is made with the same baked mac and cheese ingredients that you would use if you were making a stovetop version but with the slow cooker the flavors blend nicely, the cheese melts perfectly and the meal is ready when you are ready to eat it. This slow cooker mac and cheese recipe is one of our easy crockpot recipes and to make it you just need to mix everything together and leave it to cook. You can serve this homemade mac and cheese with a side salad or just with some fresh tomato slices on top.

If you want to make dinner in a hurry, you might prefer to go with the traditional stovetop recipe for mac and cheese but the following slow cooker mac and cheese recipe allows you to make it in a more relaxed way. The baked mac and cheese will happily cook in the crockpot until you are ready to eat it so you do not need to rush like with most recipes you make on the stove.

If you are making dinner for someone else and you do not know what time they will be home, this would be an ideal meal because it is ready when they are. You can even make this for the kids and leave it in the crockpot until they get home and help themselves (obviously we mean older kids here) rather than you having to make something when they get home.

Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese Recipe

Photo Description:

This crock pot mac and cheese is very similar to traditional mac and cheese recipes you might make on the stovetop or baked mac and cheese, which you might make in the oven. The difference is the slow cooking method, which helps all the flavors to blend and allows you to leave this in the crockpot as long as you like. If you aren't sure what time the family are getting home and you don't want to start cooking mac and cheese late, just make this and it will be ready to eat as soon as they get in.
